SPEECH THERAPY ASSESSMENT
The Speech therapy (ST) assessments are conducted to identify a child’s strengths and challenges regarding their articulation/speech, receptive and expressive language skills, social communication, and cognitive communication.
The ST assessment can explore the following areas:
- Receptive language
- Expressive language
- Social communication (Pragmatic skills)
- Cognitive communication
- Articulation Fluency
What is Included:
- A minimum of 2 standardised tests
- Detailed clinical observations in a naturalistic (non-testing) setting
What is the Process?
- An initial parent consultation. Prior to the appointment, parents or caregivers will be given both a Child History Form to complete.
- A face-to-face assessment of the child (approximately two hours).
- A full report is provided approximately two weeks later.
- A parent meeting for discussion of the assessment results, following receipt of the report.
