EARLY INTERVENTION GROUP (EIG)

Early intervention in a group setting has the added benefit for your child of learning in a social setting alongside their peers. Using an all-rounded therapeutic approach, the group is designed to facilitate all aspects of a child’s development. Your child will work with the teacher, speech and occupational therapists on individual goals*. Your child’s particular areas of need will be addressed across all domains - cognitive, fine and gross motor, language and communication, social and emotions, literacy and numeracy, and self-help.

The group teaches crucial skills for learning and participation in school and social settings. These include:

  • Listening and responding
  • Imitation
  • Sharing
  • Turn-taking
  • Following instructions

Your child will be assessed to formulate an individual teaching and therapeutic programme and subsequently reassessed in six-month intervals.

*Our curriculum is guided by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) of the U.K., the Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide (KECG, Education Bureau) of Hong Kong, and the AEPS-3 of the U.S.
